Ti War An Dour, which literally means “House on the water” in Breton offers the rental of the only two floating homes you will find on a canal in France. Located in a quiet place near Josselin, both of these houseboats float on the Nantes-Brest Canal.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway for 2 or you want to take your family somewhere totally different, a houseboat could be just the thing! Perfect for disconnecting from your fast-paced everyday life, you will appreciate the quietness of the canal. What could be better than being lulled to sleep by the gentle motion of water and being awoken by singing birds?
Each houseboat has a 25m² living area. They include a bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and another bedroom with two bunk beds. The bathroom is equipped with a bath unit and a separate toilet.
In the living room you will find everything you need: a fitted kitchen (microwave/grill, ceramic hob, range hood, refrigerator and dishwasher), and a dining room for a convivial meal. This luminous room opens up onto a 30m² terrace where you can admire the beautiful scenery or have an “aperitif on the water”!
And for services and utilities, you will find everything you need in the city of Josselin.

Ti War An Dour has been designed to fit in with Sustainable development. Thus, an environmentally responsible instruction has been established at its opening in 2017. Our houseboats have been registered with the “ecogite” label with Gîtes de France©. We have developed several actions in order to be transparent for our customers. We chose wood from a planted forest as raw material for the houseboats and all our partner producers are ecologically committed. Besides, everytime we welcome our customers, we provide them with environmentally responsible products and present our eco-gestures such as waste sorting, water consumption reduction and wastewater treatment by waste stabilization ponds. Lastly, our partnership with the label “La Clef Verte®” regularly justifies Ti War An Dour’s ecological commitment.
